My name is Valencia Jennison. To start off on a good note with all you lovely readers, I will confess - this is a pseudonym I picked from an online generator. I strongly believe that honesty in a polite yet direct form is best, and that is what my blog is all about. I was born and raised in the North Island of New Zealand - a tiny corner of the globe where you may find us Kiwis if you look close enough.

 

The unfortunate thing about living in New Zealand is that we are so closed off from the rest of the world. Fan-fiction and getting to read the writing of people with similar interests and mentalities as mine is such a wonderful thing. There is this incredible idea that a completely different person in a completely different country ships the same people that I do and cares about a fandom in the same way. It's a strangely comfortable feeling to know we are all connected by our love of a fiction universe.

I've been obsessed with reading and fan-fiction for years now, but mostly just literature in general. This blog is all about my honest opinions of that writing and how it may be seen from different perspectives. It is to comment on my personal opinions of the characterizations, writing style, and excellence of those who write fan-fiction and novels as part of my time at the Auckland University of Technology (AUT).
