1. Nadine Mortaja

Nadine’s epic collection of reality shows highlighted the 3 main characters you see in every single one. Not only did it show her own personality and funny opinions, but also educated the reader on the most watched shows of our generation. Apart from a few excusable grammar issues, her descriptions of each show and the detail she put in to each character was wonderful, and I enjoyed reading about the consistencies within Hollywood reality. She made the collection more interesting by using shows she had actually watched and seemed passionate about, highlighting the positive and negative elements of each show while going in the same format – dramatic person, funny person, and pacifist. The summary was thankfully not too long and was a lot of fun to read.

2. Tiffany Ji

Tiffany’s outline of 10 cartoons and their villains was an amazing insight into how each show deals differently with the personified forms of hate, greed, anger, and jealousy. This is not a theme I would have thought of, but it is explained so well by Tiffany through each post, as she takes us through a detailed and interesting summary of each cartoon and then proceeds to explain how the villain is characterized. What I loved most, however, was that she said what drives each villain to be the way they are, allowing us to empathize with them while still disliking their characters. The ending summary was a good note to finish on as it was short and to the point. I also appreciated the research and writing style of the post, as well as the inclusion of her favourite episode.

3. Liam Stewart

Liam’s idea was both original, exciting, and something he is evidently incredibly passionate about, which made it all the more fun to read. What I liked most about Liam’s post is that he had an opinion for each soundtrack and movie and a conversational tone with the reader that made the post fun to read. His choices were both popular and unpopular, to relate to the reader and introduce them to new movies that he felt had amazing soundtracks. As well as this, Liam’s description of each track and what it does for not only the movie but the audience as well, allowed me to become very immersed in his topic and learn about the different types of music used in different scenes and movies. Both the variety, descriptions, and summaries for this theme were curated and written very well.
